Monday Milk

Monday Milk is a fortnightly open mic night I created at The Bird in Northbridge back in 2019, and it's still going strong today. Designed to showcase up-and-coming musicians, the event not only gives performers the chance to play at one of Perth’s iconic music venues but also creates a space for artists to meet, collaborate, and build community. I always curated the lineup with intention, pairing artists whose music complemented each other, so that audience members could enjoy nights that matched their specific tastes.

In addition to programming, my role included managing the marketing strategy, promoting the event through social media, email newsletters, gig guides and engaging with RTRFM - Perths community radio station. I used these channels to engage the community, create buzz around each event, and build a loyal audience for Monday Milk.
